Rejoice

Some of my favorite verses are in the book of Philippians, and it is where I go when I need comfort or just to refocus.  It always helps me put my attitude back in line, and reminds me where my peace comes from.  It’s kind of my mission statement.  Read this once, and then like I mentioned earlier, read it again, but slowly.  Pause at each phrase and let it sink in.  This first part isn’t talking about praise when things are good.  It says always.

Phil 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always.  I shall say it again: rejoice!  Your kindness should be known to all.  The Lord is near.  Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.  Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
