As lent begins, I want to challenge you to make it a good one. Don’t just give up chocolate, give it up and every time you crave it, say a prayer for those who don’t have the luxury of food on the table. Don’t just give up television, every time you are tempted to turn it on, say a prayer for those who don’t have access to information and are sufferers under cruel governments or abusive homes. Don’t just read the Bible every day, share what you learned from it with people around you. Let these things lead you to the actions that God has for you. You never know, it may open up a whole new path that will continue after Easter.
