I was thinking about Mother Theresa the other day. She started an incredible ministry from absolutely nothing. She would rely on the generosity of others to support her order, and served anyone who needed it with love and dignity. People would ask her why she didn’t do more to end poverty, and her reply was something to the effect of fulfilling the calling that she was given. She wasn’t asked to end poverty, she was asked to bless those who are in it. There are some people who are called to change the world in major ways, but most of us are only called to change it where we are. But, even in that, if enough of us do it, the world will change anyway.
