Marriage

Marriage Stained Glass PanelIn the next week or so, I am going to share reflections on the stained glass that was just put into our chapel.  Each panel represents a different sacrament.  I hope you enjoy them.  The first panel is about the sacrament of marriage. You can get married legally, and you have entered into a contract. The sacrament of marriage is a covenant between three, and the priest is not one of them.  It is between the man, the woman, and God.  It is no longer just two, but you are given the graces that come from being in covenant with God.  It is not something to be entered into lightly, but neither is it something to be feared.  It is a place of love, forgiveness, hope, and faith, “but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13
