I used to get migraines occasionally, and I knew they were coming when I would have a bright sparkling light in my vision that would move slowly across my vision. By the time the aura went away I was full on into my headache. Once I figured out that this was the trigger, I started trying to look past it when it came rather than focusing my vision on it. It’s pretty tough, but when I can, I avoid the headaches. I just had one this morning, and it reminded me of the craziness that is life. I can focus on the attention grabbing, shimmery things, or I can look through to see what is really important. Eventually the shimmer will go away, my vision clears, and I haven’t lost a day or more to the pain.
