Who’s Will?

Have you ever thought about how often we pray that God do our will?  “Please bless this thing that I’m going to do.”  “Please help me to do well on this test.”  “Please _______” (fill in the blank)  Even when we come to the realization that we want to do God’s will, we can be resistant.  A friend of mine commented today that we are so silly to think that our will is better for us than God’s will for us.  Even if it doesn’t look where I think I want to be going, God’s will for me will always be better than anything I could ever dream up.  Not necessarily easier, but always better.  You’d think it would be easy to go there.  Guess not.
