Deadlines

It seems like the Christmas season just hit yesterday.  The roads here were pretty calm all last week, but yesterday, I think everyone realized that Thanksgiving is over and we only have a couple weeks left before Christmas.  Things seem to speed up the closer we come to a deadline or major event.  Finals, a birth, a work deadline, or whatever.  As we look back, we can see that we didn’t plan as well as we should have, or that we did a pretty good job pacing ourselves out.  Our lives of faith are no different.  Except here we can look forward.  Are we living in a way that we will reflect on as well-paced, or are we delaying and procrastinating?  Is Jesus calling, and are we answering?  I personally want to get to the end and know that I absorbed as much grace as God could give me.  Good time to check in.
