Have you ever been at a race and seen that kid who starts the last lap as the rest of the pack is finishing it? It’s always a bit painful thinking of that long last lap by yourself, but by the end, you really root for the kid and the sheer perseverance has become admirable. Whenever I have seen it happen, that kid gets applause all the way in to the end. It’s so much easier to just give up and finish with everyone else. But knowing that the race isn’t about what place you’re in is what makes a difference between a life of just enough and a life of abundance. We are never enough if we only compare ourselves to others. We will always fall short somewhere. We are more than enough when we run the race that we have been given and do it to the best of our abilities, even when we’re in dead last place.

Exactly. And the route is always much better than the one I would choose, even if it is more difficult.
