What is Faith?

What does it mean to have faith? My Bible study last week talked about how faith is more than emotions, magic, and good things happening. You have faith “in something”. It doesn’t matter if you are feeling it or not. It doesn’t matter if things are going well for you or not. It’s a trusting, knowing, and understanding that God is there. If you are searching, you have a certain level of faith that there is something there to find. If you are angry and fighting, you have a faith that there is something to fight against. If you continue to do as you know God wants you to do, even without that “feeling”, you have faith that there is someone guiding you. It may be the smallest mustard seed, but even that much has been said to be able to move mountains. (Matthew 17:20)
