True thinking

So, all this talk of forgiveness is great, but it’s still really hard to do sometimes. As we head into Lent, it’s always good to have a couple tools to help us through. The one that I have heard a few times recently is from Philippians. It’s a general call to holiness, but applied to the person or situation that we are challenged with, it can change everything.  “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8) Every time you are brought to anger or unforgiveness, go to this verse and do it. There will always be something to find, and things will start to change.
