Bad Things

Do you wonder why God allows bad things to happen? Or maybe even if God makes bad things happen? It’s a tough one, isn’t it? I believe that sometimes things just happen, or God lets them happen because there must be consequences to choices that people make. But sometimes, I think He does place us in tough situations on purpose. It happened to the Israelites over and over again. They’re in the desert, and can’t find any water. They are convinced they will die there, (not sure if this is true or drama, but either way…) and what happens? God brings water from a rock for them. Later, they are convinced they will starve. This time, food literally comes from heaven. Why would He do this to them? Well, they had just come out of Egypt, and still had a lot of Egypt in them. They needed to get to where they had nothing blocking them from their view of God. They needed to be reminded of who was taking care of them in the first place. That’s hard to do if there’s nothing to take care of. So, maybe God causes some trials. Maybe, God doesn’t get in the way of a bad thing happening. But, always, God will use our trials to show us who He is and who we are to Him. That part I know for certain.

Things happen because God gave us free will. It’s up to us whether we choose the right or wrong path. Your right in that I believe God is good full of love, but allows everything to happen for a reason. I don’t know why but I believe

It’s hard to see sometimes, though, isn’t it? It’s that belief that helps us look through it and wait for the work to be done. Thanks for your comment.
