Music Monday: Drops in the Ocean by Hawk Nelson

“I want you as you are, not as you ought to be.”

There are days that I just don’t measure up. There are days when I lose my temper, fall into doubt and fear, lose my way, or just simply fail. We all have them – the days we feel “less than.”

It’s hard in those times to come joyfully to worship or prayer. Those are the days you come humbly saying, “I have very little to offer.” And Jesus responds, “Come. Lay down your burden, and come.”

This song is a great reminder of that moment. Don’t wait until you are worthy or ready. Just go. It is when we are least worthy and least ready that we can experience the love of God the most.
